The people behind the place

Meet Barry & Angele.

A shared love of gardening, the outdoors, and making a place feel like home.

A labor of love

A place we’re growing together.

Bridlewood Farm is a labor of love for both of us. When we’re away from work and our home on Hilton Head Island, you’ll usually find us here, playing in the dirt—planting, tending the gardens, and caring for everything that grows.

One day, Bridlewood will be our forever home. For now, we love sharing it with guests and hope you find the same joy we do in the mountain views, wildlife, and simple pleasure of slowing down.

Beyond the garden gate

A little about us.

Our work keeps us busy on Hilton Head. Bridlewood gives us a place to put down a different kind of roots.

Barry

Barry co-founded HB Design Build in 2016, following Hurricane Matthew. His background spans banking, technology, real estate, and property management, and he has called Hilton Head home for more than 25 years.

Through home renovations, custom homes, and cabinetry, his work is about turning ideas into places people love to live. At Bridlewood, that same curiosity finds its way into the next garden bed, planting project, or improvement around the farm.

Angele

Angele is a Senior Account Executive with Correll Insurance Group of Hilton Head. She began her insurance career at her family’s agency and brings more than two decades of experience to her work with clients.

Outside the office, she loves fishing, gardening, and traveling. Her alternate career would be a flower, cheese, and wine shop—a place for beautiful things, good conversation, and bringing people together. Those same pleasures feel right at home at Bridlewood.

Our vision

Putting down roots.

Each tree planted and garden tended is part of the home we’re creating together. Our vision is a thriving farm landscape with an orchard, flowers, and welcoming places to gather, while caring for the natural beauty that first drew us to this corner of Western North Carolina.

Life at Bridlewood

We're usually outside.

Whether we're tending plants, working on the next project, or exploring the surrounding mountains, the land keeps us curious and inspired.

We're happy to share this place and the experiences around it with our guests.
